REFLECT or DEFLECT, That is the Question!
Reflecting is mirroring emotions involves identifying ones underlying emotions, assuming one as any, while deflecting is a defense mechanism where one shifts the blame of focus elsewhere.
Let’s mosey down a few of Mr. Trumps deflections
-The East Wing modernization was to be entirely funded by private donors. Initially announced by Mr. Trump as a total cost of $200 Million. On June 16, 2026 the Washington Post indicated “that the estimated cost of the ballroom and East Wing project has reached $600 million, with records suggesting half of this may fall on, taxpayers. The Secret Service indicated the Cost would be as much as $1 billion, with Mr. Trump stating “it won’t be safe without the $1billion security proposal”.
-On the Iran matter, with Mr. Trump’s Truth Social statement, “Will someone tell Pope Leo that Iran has killed at least 42,000 innocent, completely unarmed, protesters in the past two months, and that for Iran to have a Nuclear Bomb is absolutely unacceptable”. Now, it’s TOCO (Trump Always Chickens Out) to the rescue, as the US prepares to cut and run as the peace talks flounder and our cost-of-living skyrockets.
-Aptly named we have Mr. Todd Blanche, Mr. Trump’s personal attorney and now is in the transition role of heading the DOJ. As his name implies, Mr. Blanche is systematically “white washing” anything to do with his boss according the sworn testimony of Ms. Bondi, former Attorney General. According to the Victims Rights Law Center, ‘no. Lawyers are strictly bound by ethical rules of confidentiality and the attorney-client privilege. They cannot use a client’s private information—especially information learned while representing that specific client—to sue, pursue, or investigate other parties for their own personal or financial gain.
Yet Mr. Blanche is using this as “Acting Head of the DOJ” to deflect away from Mr. Trump and hide the Epstein files and obscure information in spite of a law signed by Mr. Trump on November 19, 2025 mandating the Department of Justice (DOJ) to publish all unclassified records, investigative materials, flight logs, and references to government officials regarding Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
At the very least would this not be a conflict of interest? Or perhaps it is just an interest in conflict?
-Then we have Venezuela, Cuba, Greenland and let us not forget Ukraine…. It goes on and on and on.
– Lastly “it’s the economy, stupid”. Which, of course, is great for billionaires, but much less so for the rest of us.
Where’s the beef, one might ask. Especially ground beef, now well over $5.25 per pound. Perhaps the “burger king” should switch to Tocos!!!
