12 May The story of Trumpty Dumpty
The story of “Trumpty Dumpty”.
There was a great man (or at least he thought so), who sat on the wall of highest office of the land, who on October 17, 2017, announced, “It is time to drain the swamp in Washington, D.C.”
Holy Cow!! Yep, Donald Trump drained the swamp. Those drained from the swamp were none other than the insiders from within his own administration. These “fine“ people were charged and/or convicted, found guilty of criminal offenses, plea bargained their offenses, or are still under indictment.
Just to help refresh our memory, the King’s men include:
Steve Bannon – Trump Strategist. Charged with a fund-raising scam to build the border wall. Convicted and pardoned and his latest conviction upheld this week.
Tom Barrack – Trump Advisor. Charged with acting under the direction of the most senior UAE leaders and for failure to disclose his status as foreign lobbyist.
Elliott Broidy – fundraiser for Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Charged with secret lobbying campaign in exchange for millions of dollars and a massive fraud at a Malaysian investment fund and advocating for the removal Chinese billionaire living in the US. Pleaded guilty then pardoned
Michael Flynn – Trump’s national security adviser. Convicted of lying to the FBI about his involvement with his contact with Russia. And as acting as unauthorized agent of Turkey. Convicted and pardoned.
Rick Gates – Deputy to the campaign chairman, Mr. Monafort, of Trump’s 2016 campaign. Sentenced to 45 days for aiding and abetting Paul Manafort in concealing $75 million in foreign bank accounts.
Paul Manafort – Trump’s campaign manager. Pleaded guilty for conspiracy against the US and conspiracy to obstruct justice due to witness tampering. Convicted, incarcerated, and eventually pardoned.
George Nader – An informal foreign policy adviser to Trump’s 2016 campaign. Granted immunity in exchange for testimony concerning the probe of Russian interference in the 2016 election. Also convicted of sex crimes involving minors.
George Papadopoulos – A relatively junior adviser to Trump’s campaign. Indicted and convicted for lying to investigators about his contacts tied to Russia. Pardoned
Allen Weisselberg – The Chief Financial Officer for the Trump Organization. Convicted of income tax evasion and perjury. Convicted and serving time.
Sidney Powell Lawyer. Founder of Restore the Republic and involved in the 2023 election fraud prosecution. – Pleaded Guilty
Kenneth Chesebro – Involved in the 2023 election fraud prosecution. Plea Bargained
Mark Meadows – White House Chief of Staff. Allegedly involved in election fraud in both Georgia AND Arizona. Indicted
Jenna Ellis – Campaign lawyer. Allegedly involved in Georgia election fraud. Indicted
Christina Bobb – Trump lawyer and political appointee. Allegedly involved in Georgia election fraud.
Roger Stone – Trump advisor. Indicted and convicted for lying to Congress and threatening a witness regarding his efforts for the Trump Campaign, then pardoned by Trump
Michael Cohen – Trump Attorney and “Fixer”. A “tax evader and sought to influence the outcome of the 2016 elections by committing campaign-finance violations. Involved with the hush money payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal. Indicted, convicted and served sentence.
Rudy Guiliani – Trump’s personal attorney/representation, and that he was “directly involved in both the January 6 Capitol attack and numerous pre and post-election lawsuits regarding election fraud Indicted and filed for bankruptcy after a defamation suit involving two Georgian election workers. Indicted and held liable (Damages set at $184 million.)
And all the “King’s men” could not restore him to power again.
So indirectly Mr. Trump did “drain the swamp”; after all, he never did say exactly which part of the swamp he would drain, did he? Who would have thought Mr. Trump would actually keep his word.
A search on GOOGLE found nothing similar on Mr. Obama or President Biden inner circles. Go figure.
Just a thought, as I am the Dumb Guy
