One may recall , on July 12, 2019, Mr. Trump blocked aide to Ukraine.

In order to get the aide released Mr. Trump responded for the aide to be released, “I would like you to do us a favor”, allegedly listing investigations that he wanted from Mr. Zelinsky.

So why be surprised in return for Russia’s assistance in the re-election of Mr. Trump, he might find a way to somehow thank Mr. Putin.

Fast forward to 2025.  Under the guise of starting peace talks, but in reality. in effort to get Ukraine to surrender to Russia, Mr. Trump cancelled aide to Ukraine.

Was this action taken because Mr. Zelenski dared to call out Mr. Trump on live TV and to show the power of his office?

Then on March 7, 2025, Mr. Trump cut off intelligence support to Ukraine.  Perhaps this was done in order to “coax” Mr. Zelensky to come around to the “Peace through Surrender” views of the White House and to show his tacit approval of Russia’s continuance of its bombardment of Ukraine.  Again, was this all this was done in order to achieve the desired outcome of Mr. Trump. The surrender of Ukraine to Russia?

After “coaxing” Mr. Zelensky to kiss his ring, the aide spigot is on again, for how long. Only Mr. Trump knows and yet Mr. Putin response to the peace plan was less than luke-warm.

Is Maestro Putin playing Mr. Trump like a fiddle?
