23 May Funding Mental Health or Assault Weapons
In the months leading up to Uvalde, Governor Gregg Abbot reduced mental health funding in Texas by more than $211 million and since that massacre at Robb Elementary School, he pledged $5 million to “assist” the Uvalde Together Resiliency Center (According to an article written by Suzanne Gamboa and Nicole Acevedo).
I am not a math genius, but clearly his words were no more than an empty promise, made hoping that no one would look at his immediate past actions/
Fast forward to this week in Cleveland Texas, where yet another mass shooting, this time of “illegal immigrants“ occurred (These were Governor’s own elegant words). Sure initial reports indicate the shooter was an illegal, but the real question is “how this this individual obtain an assault weapon?” Still unanswered.
Could it be possible that Mr. Oropresa borrowed the assault weapon from Rep. Lauren Boebert (we hear she has several).
Perhaps a background check might have alerted authorities that Mr. Oropesa was an illegal immigrant, led to his arrest and perhaps, just perhaps saved five young lives.
Food for thought as I am just the dumb guy
