“If we don’t make a ‘deal,’ and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries,” Trump said on social media on January 22.

Then there was a 50-day warning with as Mr. Trump threatened severe sanctions, specifically secondary tariffs on Russia’s trading partners, if Russia did not agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine, then the timeline was reduced to 10 days. These tariffs, if imposed, would target countries that continue to do business with Russia, potentially impacting countries like India, which imports Russian oil. The stated aim of this threat was to isolate Moscow in the global economy and pressure it to end the war.

Then Mr. Trump stated, “So what I am doing is we’re going to do secondary sanctions unless we make a deal” and going on to say, “there would be very severe consequences”.

So once again, Mr. Putin played like a Chess Master, with Mr. Trump, the Pawn.

With no ceasefire in site, Russia continues its savage bombardment and destruction of Ukraine. I guess the consequences are severe, not for Russia but for Ukraine.

I know, let’s put more National Guard Troops in Washington, DC… That will impress Mr. Putin!

Call it empty threats, bluster or bull crap.

 Let them have TACOs!!
